Doing something you don’t really want to do?

Doing something you don’t really want to do? But you’re doing it, anyway…cool. I don’t know whether it’s a matter of maturity or adulting – or stubbornness.
I’m pretty sure my family and friends are nodding emphatically over the stubborn thing.
Sometimes it’s because “it” has to get done. And no one else can do it. Sometimes “it” became a goal, unrealistic or not, and a measurement of determination and perseverance. (Like a purse I should’ve bought on sight. I was being mature and practical by walking away; ended up looking for it afterward for months and finally acquired it!)
It’s recognizing the reward of completing the thing. Deciding whether it was worth the effort. Usually, a quiet or heartfelt “yes!”
Ah, me….completing a task, no matter the outcome? Pat yourself on the back. Acknowledge the journey from beginning to end.
You did it.
Go, You!
Repeat, repeat, repeat.
